I Yen Chen

In the summer of 2022, I spent a month living in a small mountain town in the southern France. Time passes very slowly in the mountain, and the changes of light throughout the day could be vividly observed in the small apartment where I lived temporarily. In the morning I would do some works and paint in the studio; in the afternoon I always went into nature and try to listen to the memory of the mountains. Among the folds of the mountains, the waves of the Nice coast, and the winding water of the valley, it seems that you can see the flow of time. I call these pulsations of life the flow, so is the existence of each of us. We are all small particles rolling in this big flow, trying to flow with the current.
