Kintsugi

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese ceramic repair technique, which uses lacquer and rice glue as the media to repair, at the same time to recreate, a broken ceramic object. I first got to know this craft in 2017, and has since then enjoying the practice.

The repair service

Kintsugi is highly relying on the weather. Varying from the weather condition, the whole repairing process may take up to 3~ 6 months. Due to the natural media and pure gold leaf applied in the repairing process, the repaired object is food safe.

Estimated price provided on receipt of your photographs of the damaged piece.

Please contact me directly. I am happy to discuss it with you.
